8 months old

8 months old and so so fun.  She is the happiest little baby with the greatest facial expressions.  She rarely cries and loves any attention paid to her.  She is sitting up now which makes life so fun.  She also rolls like a machine now, so its time to actually pay attention to where she is.  Drinking bottles is like an olympic sport and requires your full attention and usually she needs to be pinned down to get her to actually stay still to drink.  Diaper changes are similar and require you to basically hold her down while doing it.  She eats anything we do even though she has zero teeth.  She wears mostly 6-12 month clothing and has yet to wear shoes.  She has the beefiest thighs that are so adorable and she wears a size 3 diaper.  Tons of drool and she does weird things with her tongue which still makes me think a tooth is coming.  She sleeps pretty well, especially at home where no one can hear her and she has her own room. But here at the beach she sleeps in the master and is too noisy for me.  She sleeps to about 7ish but happily lays there playing with her blankets and binkies until you get up to feed her.

She is simply the best and we are so lucky to have her.  The kids are all obsessed with her and love interacting with her especially now that she is so alert, aware, and upright.

Jim's input for the month:
Finley has been fantastic. She hardly ever cries and always has the biggest smiles. She lets Harper carry her around all over the place. Her and I share a bedroom and she hasn't been waking me up until after 7 usually. Hopefully she stays like this forever, not turning into the bickering and fighting of the other three.

memorial day 2017

Jim suggested last Memorial Day that I take a picture in the same spot at the beach house each year to compare.  This year brought a 4th kid to the pictures but I still love to compare.  Here are the ones from this year...
