a trip to the zoo

(Ok I am going to start catching up on all of my posts from the last 2 weeks.  I figured I should go in chronological order so our zoo trip is up first.)

Brady's spring break kinda snuck up on me this year.  All of a sudden it was here and we had no plans.  I was determined to make it as fun as possible without spending too much money.  On the Friday during spring break we finally got to the zoo to use our membership for the first time this year.

He was standing there while I got my camera set up and I love bloopers.

And this one is even better.  Brady was making a weird face and Jim was pointing to tell Harper where to stand and it looks like he was poking Brady's forehead.

Yeah, all that setting up and it ended up looking like this...  haha.  Harper wasn't having it and Emerson's goal was to wiggle free.

Final day of spring break fun has been had.

We also hit up Chuck E Cheese on Wednesday with friends and I won my world's best mom trophy for sure.  My kids seriously love this place and I don't mind their pizza.  I love the fact that when we leave there the kids immediately if we can come back soon.  I always answer yes but yes means 6 months later and they have no clue.  Haha.
Taking 6 kids to chuck e cheese= a trophy for sure. Spring break fun at its finest.

On Tuesday we went to KOP for lunch and shopping and we found this unicorn mask in Urban Outfitters and I nearly peed myself laughing at Harper wearing it.
Urban outfitters wins in my book today. A fucking unicorn mask. No words.

Boo at the Zoo

Today we went to Boo at the Zoo.  I have never been but was so excited to.  We were there early, like 9:30am and it was already PACKED at the zoo.

A few things to note:
-I can't believe that Harper wore that hat the whole day, thank goodness.  Her costume is so cute and the hat really helps make the costume.
-This is probably the last year Brady doesn't pick a super hero costume so I let him choose the Old Navy baby line of costume dragon that he wanted even though I think he is too old for that kind.  Carter made such a fuss over his costume and I am glad he did.  Although Brady doesn't seem to notice that all the other kids his age were wearing super hero stuff, I am sure our time is coming.
-I hate my pocket camera, it makes everything look pink and it drives me batty.  I am glad that I wasn't lugging my big camera around.
-I forgot to bring trick or treat bags for the kids so I was stuck using the reusable bags from my car, hence the reason why Harper is using a bag from my old OBGYN.  Haha.
-There were probably 6 or 7 trick or treating spots throughout the zoo and the kids got very little candy (which was a good thing) so their bags were very light and nearly empty.  But Harper insisted on carrying the bag the whole time and wouldn't put it down.

We went with Carter, Tommy, and Magen and the kids had a blast.

Brady was finally tall enough for the Lorax climbing thing but made Jim go through with him the first time.

On the special map for the day they had a costume parade listed at noon.  We rushed over to make it just in time.  Super lame but the kids were so funny just walking along in the parade and waving to no one.  Haha.

A trip to the zoo

I am so far behind with my pictures lately. Not sure exactly what my hold up is, but I tried playing catch up today.  I emptied all cameras and phones and am working on getting back on track.

First up is our trip to the zoo from 2 weeks ago.  We went with Loretta and her kids to use our zoo membership for the first time of the season.  Oh and before we went we made 2 crafts with the kids to have them guess where we were going( did this a few days before the actual trip)  See the original ideas HERE and HERE.  I never ended up taking pictures of the crafts we made.

Checking out the Lorax exhibit.  I have to say I wasn't too impressed with it.  That and you needed to be 40" to play in the climbing thing and Brady just missed that.

This was so cute.  It was that animals 1st birthday so they had the kids sign "cards" for them.  Adorable.
