may the force be with you

The kids decided back in August they wanted to be characters from Star Wars and I ran with it.  I enlisted the sewing skills of my amazing Nan and she whipped up the kids costumes in no time.  I absolutely LOVE how they all turned out.  We did buy Jim's costume at Target, mostly because I didn't want to waste my money attempting to make it only to realize my skills were lacking.

I will ride the group costume train as long as I can.



























I seriously love these kids so hard.














I don't know what got them to yelling but by the end Harper's face was purple.  When she saw me editing these pictures a few days later she was shocked at the color of her face. "Why does my face look like that?!?"














I may be bias, but surely the cutest Princess Leia I ever did see.

apple picking

For whatever reason we didn't go apple picking last fall so this year I was told we needed to do that.  We planned to go one afternoon after everyone was home from school.  We went to Barnard's, a very small orchard near our house.  We get there, we pick apples, we leave.  Brady says once we are done picking apples "that was way quicker than I expected".  Apparently in their minds it should have been a day long outing, haha.  Now there may be a million pictures in this post but we were really only there a short bit and ended up leaving quickly because it started to rain.

She HATED standing on the grassy ground.  Really I just think she is allergic to fun outings.






Unprompted hand holding???  Makes all the bickering they do totally worth it.
