2012 year in review

Every year I say I am not going to do a year in review post and every year I feel guilty and do one at the last minute.  And every year I am so glad I did.  I love looking back over the whole year and seeing all the good times and the not so good times too.  So without further ado.....

January- the month where Jim went away and I nearly lost my mind.

I pissed off Jim by painting Brady's nails,  we played, took pictures, built a fire in Brady's room, and played in the snow.

February- the month we secretly decided to move back home.

We went to Disney, had an awesome Valentines Day, Cara and her crew came to play, ate the most delicious sandwiches in the entire world, and we never stopped swinging. 


March- the month we did all the stuff we loved to do in the NYC area one last time since we were leaving.  Oh yeah, also the month we bought a house.

wore a Dr. Suess hat, Harper got attacked by a puppet, said goodbye and hello, had a last day of school celebration,

April- the month where we settled into our new life back at home and loved every second of it.

we wore helmets a lot, we hunted eggs, I lost Brady, Brady had his accident

May-Brady turned 4

we colored with chalk, got Juicy the fish, Cara came to visit again, we celebrated Halloween in May  

June- the month where we had tons of fun outdoors


we ate snacks outside, Brady got a new bike, threw rocks with Pap, we saved super heros, it was harper's turn for a trip to the hospital  

July- the month we spent more time in the pool than on land.

we went to a 4th of July parade, the binky went bye bye, Pap got a new boat, the kids went to their first concert

August- the month we celebrated my birthday at the beach


I spent time with just Sis, we wore our pjs to the library, we enjoyed a sunset cruise, we are seriously awesome at vacationing

September- the month we were TV stars


did I mention we were on tv? played soccer, did the whole 1st day of school thing, played with squirt guns  

October- the month we had lots of fall fun


we laid in the street, we took an awesome vacation while the kids went to Disney, BooBoo turned 2, we picked pumpkins

November- not sure what to say about this month... it got cold out and we ate turkey??


I had the cutest owl and dragon, Harper continued to make us laugh, had Thanksgiving at our house, cut down an enormous Christmas tree

December- it was Christmas all month long


we took our annual Christmas trip in Philly, Brady was a star, Brady makes interesting fashion choices like usual,  we celebrated Christmas like rockstars

Happy New Year, bring on 2013!!

snow

We got our first "snow storm" of the season.  I was laughing watching the news talk about this storm..... it was 2 inches.  Our first full winter in NH we got 110" of snow, now that is storm.

With Christmas approaching Brady kept talking about how it would snow on Christmas.  I felt so bad that he had this idea in his head and it wasn't going to happen.  By some miracle we got a dusting on Christmas Eve but it was gone by morning.  Thankfully it snowed again a few days later and was perfect for making snowballs.  I think he got the whole idea of snow on Christmas from Elf and Home Alone because in Elf he throws the snowballs so fast and that's all Brady talked about for weeks.

They got dressed and I opened the garage door and Brady immeditately was laying down making snow angels, another thing from Elf, and Harper joined in the fun.  They played for so long out there, way more than any other year.  They built a snowman next door at Carter's house and went sledding in our yards.

I had to put my camera away because it was still snowing and we ended up going in for naps after a while.  When everyone got up we went out for more fun and this time was a snowball fight.






They loved throwing them at Jim even if the ones they threw never even made it close to him.


This snowsuit was a handmedown from our old friends/neighbors from NH and its a 12month sized snowsuit.  I can't believe she still fits in it but I am glad I didn't have to buy her a new one.

I wasn't out there at this point but I guess Harper wanted to kiss the snowman.

Christmas day 2012

Christmas morning came and went just like that.  It was a great time, that's for sure.  Brady ripped right through all of his gifts and Harper took FOREVER!!  I just love seeing how excited they get over their new stuff.  They have been playing so much with their new toys that it took until Friday for Brady to ask to watch a show.  And if you know my kids you know they are constantly asking to watch a show.

And lastly a video of them coming into the room to see if Santa came. Not sure if you can hear it but they are out there whispering about how they hear Uncle Tommy and is he still here? They were more interested in that than in Santa, haha.
