memorial day 2017

Jim suggested last Memorial Day that I take a picture in the same spot at the beach house each year to compare.  This year brought a 4th kid to the pictures but I still love to compare.  Here are the ones from this year...

last day of school {emerson}

Emerson had her last day of school on Wednesday and was actually very sad about that.  She cried saying she was going to miss her friends.  For a kid who seems to care about no one, it was nice to hear.

bye bye Barney purple

When we moved in to this house over 5 years ago Jim's office was Barney purple.  At first I didn't hate it so I just left it.  Over time I came to hate it but I realized it would be a total pain to paint each of those squares and kept putting it off.  Following the construction we had done in February we needed to touch up some paint in his office from having recessed lights put in and I didn't have that Barney purple color to use. The time had finally come for me to paint it and I went with Comfort Gray by Sherwin Williams.  Its the color one darker than Sea Salt which is what I painted Brady's new bathroom and what my entire beach house main living area is.

And because looking for a before picture led me down a rabbit hole here is one from May 2014.  Look at those sweet little girls and poor Zoe who I believe died the day after these pictures were taken.

bumbo

I swore she wouldn't be ready yet for this thing, but sure enough she loved it.  How is it possible she is big enough already????  This sweet baby is just so happy to have us pay attention to her and when she sits here they just love it.  All gathered around fussing over her.  So cute!!

And you better believe I put her in these jammies on purpose for these pictures because I have pictures of the other 2 girls in the bumbo in these jammies.  They have since been retired because they are too small.  Insert crying emoji here, so sad.
