One of our favorite Christmas traditions is heading into Philly for the Macy's show and the Christmas Village at LOVE park. We had a hard time deciding when we would take this trip because we normally like to do this kind of stuff during the week to avoid crowds. But we decided on a whim to go last Sunday bright and early to hopefully get ahead of the crowds. This plan worked ok but man, I really hate crowds. Next year we are skipping school and going on a Friday.
Anyway, we got to Macy's for the 10am show and of course loved that. We decided to add in the Comcast building show this year. We had never been and we all really enjoyed that. We were plenty early so we actually got seats which was awesome. I couldn't get over how friendly the people were who worked in the Comcast building. I surely would be so annoyed with the tourists all day.
After that show we headed back towards the Christmas village. We were a bit too early for Santa because he doesn't show up until noon so we just walked around looking at the little huts. We got in line and were first to see Santa. After pictures we went to Reading Terminal Market to have lunch. Holy crowded overwhelming-ness. Of course it was, its holiday time at lunch on a weekend. Ugh. We had all of our usuals, Dinics hot pork sandwiches, Bassetts ice cream, and 4th street chocolate chip cookies.
Jim wants to make a reminder to park less than 4 hours in the parking garage because the cost went from $4-$29. Holy crap!!

Watching the Comcast show.
When we were walking through the village Harper asked to take a picture here. Umm of course, I love a comparison picture.
