There are like 3948 pictures in this post... just a heads up.
Like I said in my last post, we spent the second half of spring break at the beach which means we were there for Easter morning. Brady talked a lot about how easy the eggs would be to find in the beach house because its so small, and I think we did ok. The hunted for eggs for a few minutes and then jumped head first into their baskets full of candy- just the way it should be.
Side story- when we bought this house there was a small tv with a built in dvd player in the kid's room. It has sat on top of the dresser in there from day one. But it sat there unplugged. Well on Friday or Saturday Harper comes running out proclaiming she fixed the tv. "Turns out it was just unplugged, that's why it didn't work!!" They were so excited to have their own tv and it came with The Little Rascals. They watched it many times that weekend and Easter morning was no exception. So picture Jim and I sitting in the living room yelling for them to come out to see their baskets but they didn't care to because they were busy watching their movie. Jim finally went in and grabbed the baby to come out. Look how excited she was!!
She climbed right up there and looked through everyone's basket.
She picked out candy from their baskets to sample since they still didn't come out, haha.

So Emerson hates egg hunts by this point. I think she is a little like me- only wants to participate in something if she is good at it. And frankly she isn't very fast and knew she wouldn't get enough eggs to make it worth it. But we pushed her a bit to get in on the fun and this is her crying and also happy about the egg she found, hahaha.
Brady got a Magic 8 ball in his basket and it was an ABSOLUTE hit.
Harper got Connect 4 in her basket...
Nerd Boy has been carrying this book around with him since Easter studying it and forcing me to read snippets.
The easter baskets were full of things they will need in the summer, including new bathing suits. Emerson of course needed to wear her's right away.

I love her... in her bathing suit brushing her teeth in the hallway.
I love the way this place is looking these days. Such an improvement from when we bought it. Crazy what some paint can do. I have a few more ideas up my sleeve before we move there for the summer.
They were all dressed and ready to go home, but first checking themselves out in the mirror.

We left the beach before lunchtime and made it home in plenty of time to celebrate Easter at home with Mimi and Pap. Another egg hunt, another bunch of tears because Emerson wasn't winning at the hunt.
Two golden eggs were found this year!! Brady found the 1st golden egg in less than 3 seconds haha.

Easter pictures on the porch are some of my favorites each year. I love the coordinated outfits, the happy kids, and the fact that winter is nearly over!!
