I hate character clothing. Like I mean I really hate it. Character jammies??? The uglier the better and my kids love them and I welcome them. But a shirt they will wear out of the house, nope not happening. Brady owns one Gap Junk Food character shirt and one funny t-shirt with Buzz on it that he can wear out of the house, and the rest stays inside. Its not my style and never will be.
Harper and I were in Old Navy on Wednesday night to shop the baby and kid sale. She asked for a Minnie shirt, a Hello Kitty shirt, and other various ugly ass shirts that I said no to over and over again. If you spend $50 you got $15 off and of course we just missed that cut off. The kid told me I would be silly not to go find something else to put me over the limit, which I knew. So I take her back to the girls section and couldn't find anything I liked. Enter the world's ugliest Doc McStuffins tshirt... And her face when she saw this shirt made me completely forget my rule of no character clothing. It was technically free since it put me over the limit to save the extra 15 bucks. But man oh man, it's ugly. And Harper?? Oh she ran out of the store with it in her hands waving it at Jim who was waiting to pick us up. She held it the whole drive home petting it like a cat. And then when I pulled it out on Friday morning for her to wear she lit up like Christmas morning.
And while I am complaining about this topic I just want to go on record as saying that someone needs to seriously overhaul the big boy's section. Brady is going to be sizing out of the toddler stuff soon and I can't find anything I would buy. Looks like he will be stuck wearing plain polo shirts everyday and no more t-shirts. Come on Gap, don't let me down. My sweet boy doesn't need an Angry Birds shirt and every other shirt doesn't need to have a skeleton with snakes coming out of the eyes.
She is lucky she is cute because I seriously hate character clothing. I mentioned that, didn't I??

She was posing for him.
At this point he asks if he can get in the pictures, sure pal. He then performed a scary karate dance where I was sure he was going to punch himself in the face.

"Can you take a picture of us kissing??" Can I?? Of course!!
At this point he is taking her picture with my camera while she stands out front. I figure she was looking at her reflection in the door here.
And then he went out with her and they took off in their socks to go check the mail. For real??
We played outside for a while and then it was lunchtime. Brady asked to eat outside but the back deck hasn't been cleaned off all winter so we weren't going out there. Enter the wagon. Totally random and kinda weird but they thought they won the lottery of fun.
These next 3 pictures make me chuckle out loud.
I knew she had a big mouth, but holy cow that doesn't even look possible. Haha.
