Kinda catching up, at least I'm done posting pictures from February right?? We spent Memorial Day weekend at the beach (obviously). Jim suggested I take pictures of them in a spot and do it each year to watch them grow. Not the most cooperative group but at least they make me laugh.
We went to the beach for the weekend of New Years. Jim wanted to take part in the Polar Plunge, since he goes in the ocean every time we go anyway. It was an absolute mob scene and practically 4th of July crowded. We froze to death just standing on the beach, so who knows how he pulled off swimming in the ocean.
The big kids were showing how cold they were by covering all exposed skin.
This section of the beach is being worked on so they had this monstrous pile of sand that the kids climbed up. When they came back down they both seemed surprised at the fact that they had sand on their hands and in their shoes. Seriously?? These pictures don't do this pile justice, it was so enormous.
They are standing where there is normally a boardwalk. They took the entire block worth of boardwalk down to repair and replace it. So come summer time this section will be covered again.
Emerson making her creepy face...
Everyone showing their "I'm frozen" faces...
On Saturday we hit up the park in the morning and then in the afternoon we rode our bike down the boardwalk to meet up with our cousins to play at the arcade. They spent most of their time just sitting on stuff and not even needing money.
When we were riding back home we were passing the fishing pier just as the sun was setting. I could NOT turn down the opportunity to take a few pictures here.
Oh wait, here is a cell phone picture of the sand pile. Maybe this shows how huge it was?!?
