a few pictures before school

Only like 3 weeks late, but these pictures were from the morning of Brady's Valentine's day party.  I wanted to take a few pictures before he left because I thought his choice of outfit was so cute.  His teacher put on the homework sheet to wear red, pink, or something holiday related.  He took that to an extreme and picked out a pink shirt to go under a red sweater.  But looked oh so handsome!!

This is his new pose whenever I go to take a picture.  Its like a mix between hood rat and weirdo.  I'm not a fan.















Oh and this one was from later that morning.  I got stuck with the job of photographing art projects for Brady's class.  She tried to put her foot in each and every picture I put down.

when did she get so big?

We spent some time earlier this week working on all thing Valentine's Day.  Lots of specific instructions from each school so I spent time working individually with each kid.  Please don't read that as "I am mother of the year and give time to each kid" because when we were all done I flipped out and yelled about how I hate crafts and was done looking at paper.

Harper was first and she picked the most perfect Harper looking valentines they sell.  No seriously, a rainbow with a neon bracelet screams Harper.  So I am sitting there next to her and she is doing all the work so independently.  It took me a minute or two to realize that sweet baby girl baby Harper was filling out her own cards.  How is that possible??  I was in awe watching her with all her sweetness and sass do this.

She is so amazing.  She is kind and caring and wants everyone to be happy.  She is funny and loves to have all the attention on herself.  She is smart and wants to learn everything she can and if we don't know the answer she tells us to ask Siri.

I dug up the Valentine's shirts from a few years ago and took some pictures of Emerson in the shirt.  I sometimes think she looks nothing like the other two but in these pictures I feel like I see a huge resemblance.

So... who is who??




















I just love comparisons and its pretty obvious who is who but I couldn't resist posting these.

Its no secret that one of my favorite things in life is coordinating outfits and I just couldn't help myself for Valentine's Day.  I will do this as long as people tolerate being told what to wear.  Although I will say I tried to get Brady to just wear a plain t-shirt but he insisted on the button down and tie, he wanted to look "super handsome."  Nice work pal.

With all the snow I knew it would be tough to get a group picture so I took the kids to Longwood Garden to take these last weekend.  So glad I did, natural light and no frozen booger faces?!?  Sign me up!!

A few things to note....  1) there are a million pictures in this post and I'm not sorry about that one bit.  2) I have no idea why Brady's eyes are so squinted closed in most pictures.  He must have been bothered by the hazy sunlight coming in the roof.  3) did I mention I love coordinated outfits??



I promise I did not tell the big kids to hold hands.

At this point Emerson was DONE with group pics so these two wanted pictures of just them.  I am never going to say to them asking to have their picture taken.

Happy Valentine's Day.  We are going to spend this day digging out from the 94837 inches of snow we got yesterday and trying to stay sane on this 9th snow day of the year.  In all my years living in NH we NEVER had this many snow days.  I'm over snow!!!
