Harper's 3 year pictures

I finally remembered to take Harper out for her 3 year pictures the other night.  It's not like I don't have a full year to see it coming and get her out for pictures but I guess time got away from me.  We ran out right before dinner and before the sun set and she was a nut.  She still isn't the easiest person to take pictures of and makes me really work for it but I am so glad I made the effort.  I really should do it more often with them one on one.

bumbo baby

I simply cannot believe Emerson is already learning tricks.  I swear we just brought her home like last week.  She has a bit of a flat head and is terrible at tummy time so whenever possible I try to hold her upright.  I was reading the blog from back when Harper was this age and she was already in the bumbo which gave me the idea to try with Emerson.  I really didn't think she was going to be able to hold herself up but she did great.  The kids thought this was so funny and Emerson loved being able to watch the tv.

the end of the soccer season

Brady played on a local PeeWee soccer league.  Its only open to kindergarten aged children and was so well run I can't wait to sign up for spring soccer.  It was on Monday and Friday mornings for 7 weeks and then last weekend they had the big final soccer game to show off their skills. (which was the weekend before Halloween)

Brady started the season not knowing all that much about soccer.  He does love going to the Union games but really didn't understand the game.  He spent the first few sessions soaking it all in but being kind of timid.  Well about half way through he turned into some kind of soccer freak.  He now loves it and plays so aggressively.  He always raised his hand to play goalie which was boring to watch, but whatever.  So the last Friday session we told him he was not allowed to raise his hand to play goalie.  He actually listened and ended up scoring a goal.  He then paraded across the field pointing and yelling "THAT'S HOW YOU GET IT DONE!!!"  Seriously kid?!?  You spent the first few weeks not doing anything and now you are a total showboater??  haha.

I didn't take pictures throughout the season so I made sure to bring my camera for the final game day.

And then the next day they had an awards ceremony and party.  They had a slide show and lots of snacks. It was so perfect for the kiddos!!

the rest of our halloween pics

I have to play catch up so pretend its not a few days into November.

On Halloween we were pretty busy.  In the morning Harper had her school parade.

In the afternoon we headed to Brady's school for his parade.  His best buddy was the Eagles player behind him.  Brady walked through the parade waving at everyone like he was the mayor.

Here is Harper waiting for the parade to start.

And to be fair here is Emerson waiting for the parade to start.

I signed up to work in his class that afternoon.  I was too busy during the class to take a picture but here he is during free time after centers.  Being in his class was so interesting.  I was glad to see all the kids are just as odd as he is.  I also was able to see that he is the annoying kid who raised his hand to answer every single question.  But his teacher seems to love him and had some insight for me about some stuff I was worried about.

Because I love to torture myself I tried getting pictures of them all in their Halloween shirts.  All 3 of my babies wore that ghost onesie and I was thrilled to have her wear it.

I didn't take any pictures during the actual trick or treating so I stole this one from Magen.  That creepy weirdo hanging out behind the kids is my husband.  Try not to be jealous I married such a cool dude.

And here they are with their pumpkins.
